JEWELRY and ACCESSORIES available exclusively in New York at AsiaStore
AsiaStore at Asia Society and Museum
is proud to be one of the exclusive New York venues offering the magnificent
and unique selection of jewelry and accessories of Lotus Arts de Vivre, headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand.
The creation of exquisite pieces of jewelry and objets d’art
first began as a hobby of Helen von Bueren, co-founder and
owner of the Lotus boutiques, and gradually developed into
a family business. Today, Lotus outlets are located in Thailand,
Singapore, India, Cambodia and Japan and the company boasts
world-famous celebrities among its clients. Patrons include
the Royal Family of Thailand, Princess Michael of Kent, the
Rajmata of Jaipur, the Queen of Spain, Elizabeth Taylor, Roman
Polanski, Goldie Hawn and Sharon Stone to name just a few.
The lotus flower is an important emblem of Buddhism, and
in fact many of the distinctive designs of Lotus Arts de Vivre
pieces draw inspiration from Buddhist symbols as well as other
Asian religions and cultures. The exquisite jewelry and decorative
objects are created by skilled craftspeople living in remote
villages in India, Nepal, Indonesia and Burma. Using materials
such as coconut, pearls, diamonds, rubies, emeralds, silver
and gold and working in age-old techniques that have been
passed down through generations, these artisans craft one-of-a-kind
objects that are gorgeous and yet subtle. The Lotus designs
are especially unique because they reflect the ancient heritage
of Asian cultures and simultaneously have a contemporary look.
