 Zina Kao creates contemporary jewelry for the modern woman, handmade with pride in her Berkeley, California studio. She loves clean lines and fine details like her signature brushed metals. This unique hand crafted jewelry features semiprecious gems and precious metals including 23K vermeil, sterling silver and 14k gold fill.
She hand textures her jewelry using simple, but labor intensive techniques. Each piece is fabricated from sterling silver sheet and wire, hand detailed and carefully assembled, keeping the hand of the maker evident.
Jewelry making started as an innocent hobby for designer Zina Kao, but as more and more friends and strangers began requesting pieces for themselves, Zina decided to quit her long time career and devote herself entirely to Zina Kao Exclusives.
